We knew it was coming because the snapshot betas were becoming smaller and smaller. But Mojang has now made it official. Minecraft 1.18 will be released at the end November with all Caves & Cliffs Part 2 features. This update will be available on all platforms Minecraft supports and brings with it a number of new biomes and a revamped world generation.
On November 30, Minecraft 1.18 will be available. The Java Edition update is available on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Linux PCs. While the Bedrock Edition launches on - deep breathe - PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android, Windows 10 and 11 PCs.
This update includes new world generation, enhanced cave systems, and candles. As previously stated, certain features were pushed back to 1.18. They won't be making 1.19 (also known by The Wild update), as the developers have confirmed.
The announcement explains that archaeology, goat horns, and bundles have been "put on hold". They have not been cancelled. We just had to place them on the backburner. They won't be in Wild Update, but they will be added to Minecraft when they're available.
